What’s the best sauce for chicken parm?
The sauce that I’ve used is marinara, it’s got a nice tang to it that works great with mozzarella. However, most tomato based sauces will work if you need to improvise! . Sauces such as spaghetti or pizza sauce will be fine to use too.
For ease you can use jarred marinara sauce but if you want homemade, I’ve got you covered with my Homemade Marinara Sauce Recipe!

What’s the best cheese to use for Chicken Parmesan
Mozzarella is the classic choice, it’s melty and works great with marinara sauce. You can use whole milk or fresh mozzarella. If you want to shake things up you could try fontina cheese or provolone – both equally delicious.

Hi Becky, I went to your recipe card to make this last night. The bread crumb mix ended up not sticking and was a clump of crumbs. Afterwards, I read the entire post and noticed you dip the coated chicken in flour. The flour isn’t listed in the recipe card unless it’s under the marinara ingredient and a huge ad blocked the flour note. This was good and will make again with the addition of flour.

Haven’t made this yet, but would love to know what you mean by flour mixture. Flour is not even listed as an ingredient in the recipe. Please fill me in. Thanks!
