I don’t know about you, but I have been obsessed with that viral feta pasta recipe. I couldn’t resist putting my own spin on it, so I added chunks of tender chicken–yum! This baked chicken feta pasta recipe is super simple to throw together and pretty hands-off. It’s quickly become one of my favorite easy weeknight meals!
This chicken feta pasta is packed with Italian flavor, juicy tomatoes, and tangy feta cheese. It’s the perfect balance of fresh and creamy, and even my kids love it! I love that it only takes a few minutes of prep, and I can cook the pasta while the sauce is baking. So easy!
What’s in This Chicken Feta Pasta Recipe?
- Chicken: I prefer to make this recipe with chicken breasts, but you can use thighs if that’s what you have. If you have cooked shredded chicken to use up, you can also stir that in when you add the pasta if you’d like.
- Spices: Garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, and black pepper add classic Italian flavor to the chicken.
- Olive Oil: Helps everything cook without burning in the oven.
- Cherry Tomatoes: Add pops of fresh and juicy flavor.
- Feta Cheese: Adds creaminess and tanginess! If you aren’t a huge fan of feta, this recipe also works really well with goat cheese. I haven’t tried it myself, but I’ve also seen great results with Boursin.
- Pasta: Any short pasta shape works well in this recipe. I like rigatoni.
- Fresh Basil: Adds a pop of freshness and color.

How to Store and Reheat
Store leftover baked chicken feta pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave, stirring frequently, until warmed through.
Notes and Tips
- The chicken soaks up all the flavors from the tomatoes and the seasonings so it’s really good.
- The cheese is already pretty salty so you don’t need to add any additional salt.
