Sweet Chili Chicken Wings are my go-to appetizer when I need something effortless and delicious! They take just 5 minutes of prep and about half an hour to bake to perfection. You only need 4 ingredients and a handful of seasonings to make this easy recipe!
Game days, birthday parties, potlucks, and all other gatherings are so much more fun when you serve sweet chili wings! These baked chicken wings are so easy to toss together in just 5 minutes – after that, the oven does all of the work for you. Whenever I’m making wings at home, I often choose to oven bake them.
They are so much easier to cook this way compared to deep frying. There’s also no added oil in this recipe, so they’re on the healthier side. Honestly, my family loves these wings so much that I serve them up as a fun weeknight dinner from time to time!

How to Store and Reheat
Note that these sweet chili chicken wings are best served as soon as they are ready. If you do have leftovers, they’ll keep well for 4 days in the fridge.
To reheat them, place them on a foil lined sheet and bake at 350°F for around 15 minutes until fully warmed through.
Notes and Tips
- Be cautious with your red pepper flakes! When I’m making these wings for my kids, I usually omit the red pepper flakes entirely. However, when I’m making these on game days and I know I have some spice lovers coming to the house, I double up the amount for extra heat.
- It’s so important to gently pat the wings dry with paper towels before seasoning and baking! This is what helps them crisp up so nicely.

“I have used this sauce recipe many times now. This is what I do. I double the sauce on the stove and when my wings are done, with whatever cooking method I chose that day, I pour the sauce over the wings in a huge bowl and toss. This way they stay saucy. I have even cooked wings and kept them in a slow cooker with this sauce. I came across this recipe because a restaurant stopped making these amazing wings and I was on a search for something similar. This recipe is almost exact. Thank you!” – Sherri Q

Was pale not like the picture, should it be turned during the cooking process

I’m sorry this recipe didn’t turn out as expected, Candace! Browning depends a lot on your oven temperature. To get more color, you can broil the wings for 5 minutes at the end!

Was not worth it, not real sweet chili chicken

Hi Rebecca, let them thaw overnight in the fridge, then bake at 350°F for around 15 minutes!
