What’s in this Chicken Lo Mein Recipe?
The simple chicken lo mein sauce is what really sends this mix of chicken, noodles, and veggies over the top!
- Chicken: Boneless, skinless chicken breasts work best here, or throw in some leftover or rotisserie chicken.
- Lo Mein Noodles: You can find Chinese egg noodles in the Asian section of any major grocery store.
- Soy Sauce: You can swap this with tamari or coconut aminos if preferred.
- Oyster Sauce: In a pinch, you can use fish sauce or hoisin sauce in place of oyster sauce.
- Sesame Oil: Toasted and regular sesame oil both work well.
- Onion: White or yellow onions will both work.
- Garlic: Fresh garlic will yield better flavor than pre-minced.
- Veggies: I use a mix of snow peas, carrots, mushrooms, and bell peppers for this lo mein chicken. Feel free to swap in different veggies if needed.
- Green Onions: These are the best final touch.

The recipe calls for Housin Sauce but it’s not listed in the ingredients.
