- Doritos: Create a crunchy, crispy, and flavorful coating for the chicken. We used cool ranch flavor, but any flavor will work.
- Mayonnaise: Adds moisture and fat to keep the chicken juicy and helps bind the Dorito coating.
- Sour Cream: Adds moisture and fat to keep the chicken juicy.
- Garlic: Adds a savory and earthy flavor to the chicken.
- Cheese: A bit of Parmesan cheese enhances the cheesy flavor of the Doritos.
- Chicken: We prefer to make this recipe with chicken breasts, but you can use thighs or tenders. Just be aware that the cooking time may vary.
Variations on Cool Ranch Chicken
We love cool ranch Doritos, but any flavor will work equally well. For a cheesier version, try the nacho cheese version, or for spicy chicken, try flamin’ hot. For a plain version, we like to use plain crushed tortilla chips as well.

Nice and moist. I didn’t use Parmesan since it wasn’t in the ingredient list, but still good.
