Air Fryer Honey Mustard Chicken Thighs are a cinch to make in just 30 minutes with only four simple ingredients! I’m obsessed with how crispy the skin on the thighs crisps up in the air fryer. And the sweet, tangy flavors are seriously mouthwatering!
I don’t think I could live without my air fryer. I’m so spoiled with it! It preheats in little to no time and always cooks my chicken thighs perfectly. You’ll find with this recipe that the chicken thighs are always perfectly juicy and tender, never dried out.
The honey mustard sauce is what really makes these chicken thighs so remarkable, though. The best part? It’s a really simple recipe! All you need to do is mix together olive oil, honey, and dijon mustard to create a sauce that elevates the chicken like crazy.
What’s in air fryer honey mustard chicken thighs?
You only need 4 inexpensive ingredients to make this 30 minute recipe!
- Chicken Thighs: I recommend using bone-in, skin-on thighs. I love the way the skin gets crispy in the air fryer!
- Dijon Mustard: Do not swap this with plain yellow mustard. The dijon really creates the very best flavor.
- Honey: For the richest flavor, use raw organic honey that’s dark in flavor. Darker honey tends to have a more natural deep honey flavor than the light honey you’re used to seeing in the little plastic bear at the store.
- Olive Oil: You can swap this with avocado oil if preferred.
Variations To Try
- If you really love honey mustard, make a little extra sauce on the side and serve it with mashed potatoes or french fries to accompany the chicken!
- Try this honey mustard air fryer recipe will work with all kinds of chicken – wings, drumsticks, and even breasts! Just adjust the cooking times accordingly.

How to Store and Reheat
In an airtight container in the refrigerator, any leftover chicken you have will stay fresh for unto 5 days. To reheat it, just pop it right back into the air fryer for about 5 minutes or so!
How to Freeze
Let the cooked chicken thighs fully cool to room temperature prior to freezing in an airtight container for up to 3 months. Don’t forget to date and label!
Notes and Tips
Double check the temperature of your chicken when you open the air fryer. If they’re not quite at 165°F on an instant read thermometer, then pop them back in the air fryer for another minute or so until they’re safe to eat.
