Egg in a hole is the quick and easy protein-packed breakfast I need to keep me fueled throughout the week. And it’s so simple to make in only 15 minutes! Just cut a hole in a slice of bread, crack in an egg, and cook. I like to sprinkle mine with some salty Parmesan cheese to really make it shine.

Parmesan Eggs in a Hole
It’s so simple to make a perfectly cooked egg in a hole with my easy recipe. All you need is some toast, eggs, butter, and whatever seasonings your heart desires. I like to start by toasting up the bread a little so it holds its shape better, but it’ll still get nice and toasty in the pan even if you don’t. Then cook your eggs however you like them. I went for sunny side up, but over easy, medium, or hard all taste great. It’s really up to personal preference!

Sunny Side Up vs Eggs Over Easy
This egg in a hole can please both sides of the fried egg aisle! You can cook it sunny side up, or if you want it over easy, you can flip it and cook the egg on both sides. Just make sure the egg has cooked on the first side first so it sticks to the toast.
