TikTok Feta Pasta with Chicken
This baked feta pasta with chicken is packed with Italian flavor! If you’re not familiar with this recipe, the highlight is baking a block of feta in the oven along with cherry tomatoes and some seasonings. It gets really melty, then you just mix everything together along with some pasta water, and it turns into the creamiest pasta sauce!
I love how easy this feta chicken bake is: it only takes a few minutes of prep, and I can cook the pasta while the chicken and feta are in the oven. Dinner is ready in about 30 minutes, and my kids love how creamy it is!

Preheat the Pan for Deeper Flavor
Instead of starting with a cold baking dish, preheat your pan in the oven for 5 minutes first, then add the chicken, feta, and tomatoes. The hot pan instantly jump-starts caramelization, making the feta creamier, and the tomatoes burst with richer, more concentrated flavor.

Notes
- The cheese is already pretty salty so you don’t need to add any additional salt.
- I like to preheat my baking dish in the oven to kickstart caramelization–just don’t forget your oven mitts!
- If the sauce seems too runny, you can dump the whole pan of pasta and sauce into a large pot and cook, stirring frequently, over medium heat until the sauce thickens up.
- You can also thicken the sauce with the pasta water on the stove first, then stir in the cooked pasta.

How to Make a Chicken Feta Pasta Bake Step by Step
Season the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 400℉. I like to preheat the oven with the baking pan inside to kickstart browning, but it’s optional. If you do this, don’t forget your oven mitts! In a bowl, season ½ pound of diced boneless, skinless chicken breast with 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, 1 teaspoon of Italian seasoning, ½ teaspoon of onion powder, and freshly ground black pepper to taste. I do not add any extra salt to this dish since the feta is so salty, but taste your feta and add salt if needed.

Assemble the Dish: Add ¼ cup of olive oil, 2 cups of cherry tomatoes, 8 ounces of feta cheese, and the seasoned chicken to a 9×13-inch baking dish, and toss to evenly coat. Sprinkle with more pepper if desired, and place in the preheated oven.

Bake the Dish: Bake for 30 minutes, or until the top of the feta cheese is golden, the tomatoes are roasted, and the chicken pieces are cooked through to 165°F.

Boil the Pasta: While the chicken, tomatoes, and feta are baking, boil 2 cups of dry rigatoni (or other short-shaped pasta) according to the package directions. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water. This reserved pasta water will make the sauce cohesive and help it cling to the noodles.

Stir the Pasta: Remove the feta and tomatoes from the oven and stir to combine, breaking down the tomatoes and cheese to create a creamy sauce. Add the pasta and the reserved cooking water (you may not need all of it) to the tomato feta chicken mixture, and stir until everything is thick, creamy, and well coated.

Garnish and Serve: Divide the chicken feta pasta into serving bowls and top with fresh halved cherry tomatoes, fresh basil leaves, and shaved cheese to serve!

How to Store and Reheat
Store leftover baked chicken feta pasta in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave, stirring frequently, until warmed through. I do not recommend freezing this dish, as the sauce tends to separate and the noodles turn mushy when thawed.
