BBQ Chicken Pizza is incredibly easy to make in just 30 minutes! Smoked gouda, red onions, chicken and barbecue sauce make this pizza oh so satisfying.

Instructions
Prep the pizza stone/pan: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees. Once heated, place the pizza stone or pan in the oven.
Prep the crust: Place the pizza crust on a large piece of parchment paper. If the crust is still in dough form, roll out the dough.

Add the toppings: Spread a thin layer of barbecue sauce on the pizza crust. In a bowl, combine the remaining barbecue sauce and chicken. Then, add on the toppings in this order: 1 1/2 cups of cheese, red onion, BBQ chicken, remaining 1/2 cup cheese.
2 cups cooked chicken, 1/2 cup barbecue sauce, 1/4 cup sliced red onion, 2 cups shredded smoked gouda
Bake: Remove the pizza pan or stone from the oven. Slide the pizza onto the pan and bake for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust is crispy on the outside and cooked through (if using pizza dough). Finish with a sprinkle of fresh cilantro.

* Basically, any type of crust will work, including pre-baked pizza crust, pre-made refrigerated pizza dough, homemade pizza dough, or pre-made cauliflower pizza crust.** Some easy options include a store-bought rotisserie chicken, chicken breasts or thighs cooked in the Instant Pot or slow cooker, or any leftover chicken you have on hand.
