It's so quick and easy to make the most perfect chicken wings in the air fryer. Tossed in sweet, tangy and spicy buffalo sauce, you will love this classic appetizer that's super easy to make!
Once preheated, place the chicken wings side by side in the basket. Select chicken and cook for 20 minutes, turning the chicken over halfway to cook evenly on both sides.
2 pounds chicken wings
While the chicken is cooking, in a small bowl, whisk the hot sauce, butter, and brown sugar. (It will thicken as the butter cools, so don’t be concerned if it first appears as a thin sauce.)
½ cup hot sauce, ½ cup unsalted butter, ¼ cup brown sugar
Once the chicken is done, move it from the basket to a large bowl. Pour the Buffalo sauce over the wings, and toss with a spoon, covering each piece thoroughly.

Notes
If preparing more than 2 pounds of wings, cook in batches. You technically can stack the chicken, but it will block the air in the fryer, so it won’t cook the wings properly.
For extra crispy wings, add another minute or two on each side.
We drained the sauce after tossing the chicken so we could dip the chicken in it. It is a very easy sauce with just three ingredients!
We used a traditional hot sauce, but depending on taste, it can be switched for a hotter sauce, or milder sauce.
The brown sugar adds just the right amount of sweetness to the wings! We love this sauce! We don’t like traditional buffalo sauce, and prefer it to be a little sweeter along with the spice, but not too sweet. (You can put this sauce on shrimp and chicken breast too)
Storage: Store air fryer Buffalo chicken wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
