These juicy slow cooker BBQ chicken drumsticks are drenched in a sweet but spicy homemade bbq sauce that will leave you coming back for seconds and maybe even thirds!
In a small bowl, stir together all the ingredients except the chicken.
3/4 cup ketchup, 1/3 cup orange juice, 1/4 cup packed dark brown sugar, 1/4 cup red wine vinegar, 1/4 cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley, 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, 1/4 cup water, 2.5 tablespoons cornstarch
Place chicken in a large slow cooker set on low heat.
8-10 chicken drumsticks
Pour the ketchup mixture over the chicken, using a spoon to make sure all the chicken is coated.
Cook for 5-6 hours on low or until chicken is fully cooked.
After chicken is cooked, you can serve as is or take 2 cups of the bbq sauce/cooking liquid and heat in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer until it's thickened to your liking.
Enjoy!
