Can you make this with thighs?
You can make this recipe with chicken thighs or breasts. If using breasts, I like to add them whole and then shred them, but if using chicken thighs I prefer to add them cut into chunks. Both ways work great!
Can you make it ahead of time?
Once you have made your sweet and sour chicken, you can keep it on the warm setting in your Crockpot for up to 2 hours until you are ready to serve. Leftovers will keep well in the fridge for up to 4 days and can be reheated on the stovetop.
What do you serve it with?
This Crockpot sweet and sour chicken is a great weeknight meal, and is ther perfect alternative to your favorite takeout. I like to serve it with white rice, some sesame seeds and some sliced green onion. It’s also good to serve with egg noodles.
