Paul Caron says
In this dish …. Do you first need to coat the chicken breasts in flour, eggs and breadcrumbs and cook the breasts to a golden brown BEFORE assembling the dish.
Or do you just add the uncooked, uncoated chicken breasts to the dish and back it once in the oven?
Becky Hardin says
You’ll want to make sure you have bread crumb coated chicken breast, they don’t need to be cooked before assembly as they will be in the oven for 30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
Dan Nielsen says
This looks great, but I have one question. It appears that the chicken is coated in bread crumbs, or at least in something. If so, does the chicken get pan fried briefly to brown those crumbs? The recipe says nothing about this.
Becky Hardin says
The breadcrumbs brown in the oven!
